One Of My Favourite Parts Of The Country.

Here's the view (in the round) from the top of Mam Tor near Castleton in Derbyshire, which I shot on Saturday afternoon (we followed this walk). One of the countless things I loved (and sorely miss) about living in Sheffield was having this gorgeous countryside a fifteen minute drive away. Whenever I was getting unbearably stressed out I used to find it such a relief to come out here (or to Ladybower Reservoir) and just wander around for a few hours.
And if you're in the area and have worked up an appetite on your walk check out Ye Olde Nags Head in Castleton, excellent pub food, huge portions and very reasonably priced.
